Support Available for Early Years Qualifications
Workforce Development Funding Pathway 2023-24
The First round of Workforce Development Funding for the period 2023-24 has now expired. The Workforce Team will be in contact if you have submitted an application for a bursary or training grant as soon as possible.
Applying for the second round of funding:
Funding is very limited therefore, to manage a fair distribution of student bursaries and grants, registered settings can apply for a maximum of two staff members for each round of application.
Funding will be prioritised to support staff levels for either Level 3 or Level 2 diploma which meet the Early Years Educator Standards (full and relevant). However you can still apply for staff members who are either starting or currently undertaking a Level 4 or higher qualification including a BA honours degree or equivalent. Qualifications funded by individual training companies including apprentice training and free Level 3 qualifications available for eligible adults will not be supported by this funding pathway. Click here for more information and to find a free Level 3 qualification This also includes the new DfE funded NPQ in Early Years Leadership qualification.
This offer is available to Buckinghamshire Early Years Education providers, Childcare settings and Schools with a nursery provision. Applications and funding awards will be reviewed and approved on a case-by-case basis. To request an application form, send an email to eycpd@buckinghamshire.gov.uk.
The last day to return a completed application for the second round of funding Friday 15th December 2023.
