SEND Code of Practice
Revision to the current Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Code of Practice. The Children and Families Act 2014 introduced a series of reforms to the system of support for children and young people with SEN and disabilities.

Early Support
Early Support is a way of working, underpinned by 10 principles that aim to improve the delivery of services for disabled children, young people and their families. It enables services to coordinate their activity better and provide families with a single point of contact and continuity through key working.

The Early Support resources offer a range of materials to support working with children with a range of needs.

The Early Years Developmental Journal is designed for families, practitioners and others to use as a way of recording, celebrating and supporting children’s progress. It is also for people who would like to find out more about children’s development in the early years. It supports key working by helping everyone involved with a child to share what they know and discuss how best to work together to support development and learning.
