As a childminder you have the responsibility of meeting the needs of the children you care for without the need for a SENCO. There will be time when you may want to ask for additional advice. The SEND and Inclusion section of the Early Years Website has lots of information and useful links to other websites, such as the Integrated Therapies service (Speech and Language, Occupation Therapy, and Physio therapy) which will be useful when deciding how best to support children with additional needs. They all contain advice and information on key strategies to use.

Your Key Contact would be also be able to support with next steps and information.
