Go Play Holiday Club - Play Worker Manager

Qualifications/Experience:

  • 2 years’ experience in play work or childcare
  • Minimum of Level 3 play work or childcare qualification.

Responsibilities/Extra Information:

  • To work as part of the staff team in running and supervising a wide variety of stimulating activities, complying with Health and Safety requirements and ensuring the implementation of the Project’s Equal Opportunities Policy at all times.
  • To plan activities and lunches and then advertise these through the Facebook page.
  • To organise and purchase the activity resources and food
  • To assist with planning trips
  • To ensure that there is the correct ratio of staff to children at each session and supervise staff and volunteers.
  • To provide First Aid when necessary and keep written records of any incidents or accidents which parents should be informed of and sign in the book.
  • To maintain a booking system and receive and record bookings and cancellations in accordance with the Project’s policies.
  • To collect and record monies in and out and pass to the Project’s Treasurer on a regular basis. Encouraging prompt payment.
  • To arrange and run occasional staff meetings.
  • To maintain up to date records of registered children and ensure paperwork is complete i.e. medication requirements, special needs etc.
  • To maintain good communication with parents, carers and guardians.
  • To update information on the Go Play website and social media site.
  • To monitor the condition of the premises and equipment, and ensure the premises are used in consideration for other users.
  • To implement all the Project’s policies and procedures necessary for the safety and wellbeing of children and staff.
  • To undertake relevant training as deemed necessary and to ensure all staff also receive training when appropriate.
  • To provide a Play Work Manager report to Project Committee meetings and the AGM.
