Special Educational Needs Inclusion Fund
Buckinghamshire like all local authorities is required to have an SEN Inclusion Fund to support three and four year olds with special educational needs (SEN) who are taking up their free entitlement. The fund is not dependent on the number of hours the children attend or where they live.
In Buckinghamshire it has been decided that these funds can also be accessed to support funded 2 year olds with SEN.
These funds are intended to support providers to address the needs of individual and cohorts of children with low level and emerging SEN.
The current High Needs Block Funding support will remain for higher level and long term need
Buckinghamshire has changed how the Inclusion Funds are allocated following the success of the SENDIAN Pilot. Details of how to access the funding and guidance on applying for the funding can be found on Buckinghamshire Early Years SEND and Inclusion website on the forms page.
